I was watching the U.S. Women's national team (soccer, of course) last night, and saw this...ouch...
This clip is actually cut for "viewer discretion", because the last angle shown is cut off just before you see her leg flopping around...it was interesting to see live, because when it first happened it didn't seem that serious...once the U.S. brought the ball back towards her, then you see she's still on the ground, and hasn't rolled over or anything...
Something I found interesting is how the announcers apparently were unable to tell that she had broken her leg; the definitive angle was shown several times, and it was pretty clear she wasn't going to walk it off; she broke both bones in her lower leg, about midway between the knee and ankle...it makes me think of all those other times you'll be watching some game, and the announcers can never seem to get a good grip on what is being replayed...the only guys I know who consistently analyze a replay and almost always get it right are Ralph & Razor...hell, they see shit most of us wouldn't see...
Maybe I need to make a tape of me calling some games, so I can make more money...
