Well it's a sad day today as one of the icons of my youth has passed to the next plane...while I don't really remember seeing many of the stunts live on "Wide World of Sports", you can rest assured I and every other kid in my school knew EXACTLY who Evel Knievel was...and you know all those bike ramps we built were directly influenced by this madman on a motorcycle...I remember my dad having a motorcycle when I was a kid, and he had an American flag helmet that he'd put on me when he took me for a ride around the block...made me feel like Evel...
This_was_one_of_my_all-time_fave_toys!...I ran this thing into the ground! (although I never set him on fire...I couldn't do it to this toy...)
...f!...
...I throw shoe...
So long, Evel Knievel...

Man, I had one of those EK stunt cycles when I was a kid. Those things were badass! Wish I still had mine. Great stress release after a rock show or hunting trip!
Me and my brothers had a Stunt Cycle too, and like you we built ramps since he was our idol.
RIP, Evel!
